Bloomin’ Bike Parade
Kids are invited to join in the 3rd Annual Bloomin’ Bike Parade! Free decorations and bike bells (courtesy of Heim’s Downtown Toy Store) will be provided while supplies last 9:00 am to 10:30 am at Library Park (6th Ave. & 59th Place). The Parade will commence promptly at 10:30 am, traveling down 6th Avenue to the festival site at 54th Street.
Bicycle Helmet Giveaway
Free bicycle helmets will be given away to the first 200 children at Library Park on Saturday, June 6th beginning at 9:00 am. Helmets are courtesy of Habush, Habush & Rottier, S.C. and will be fitted and supplied while supplies last. Children must be present to receive a helmet.
Bike Registration
The Kenosha Police Department will be on hand to provide free bicycle registration for bike owners. The service assigns a specific number to an owner’s bike, which is then entered into the KPD database with the owner’s contact information. The database can help in the recovery efforts if your bicycle is ever lost or stolen. Bike Registration will move to the main festival site 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. Also meet Officer Friendly at the Library Park location 9:00 – 10:30 am.

Kenosha Police Dept. K-9 Unit Demonstration – (1:00 – 2:00 pm) Get a glimpse of Kenosha’s finest police dogs as they demonstrate what they do alongside their human counterparts to protect the citizens of our city.
Racine Zoo - The Racine Zoo will be at Bloomin’ Days and they’re bringing friends! Learn more about animals that live in our world. Observe such critters as hissing cockroaches, bats and salamanders. Pet a reptile or one of the softest mammals in the world! Through this opportunity, it is the Racine Zoo’s hope that citizens will foster an appreciation for our natural world, ultimately giving them the ability to make informed decisions that will protect it from exploitation and for the benefit of future generations.
Bike Corral – Park your bike in the free Bike Corral while you enjoy Bloomin’ Days! Located on 55th Street between 6th and 5th Avenues.
Games, Games, Games! Kid’s obstacle course, sidewalk chalk, hula-hoops, jump rope, 4-square, baggo, ladder, Bloomin’ Buckets, tug-o-war, parachute, sack races and more! And not just for the kids! Powered by Green Kenosha, it’s an educational and inspirational day filled with interactive exhibits, workshops including alternative energy, conscious gardening, healthy lifestyles, recycling and of course EcoKids “green” games. The first 200 visitors receive a free plant! Learn from Gateway Technical College instructors about geothermal solar and wind energies. Learn “why on EARTH should I” and “how on EARTH do I” recycle? Hands-on gardening including planting, deadheading, dividing, and general flower gardening. Learn what permaculture is all about, how to make your own compost (by Kate’s Green Circle), vermiculture (worms!), making living walls, saving money by growing your own vegetables and more. EcoKids free “green games” include old-fashioned games for kids from 4 to 104, including 4-square, Bag-O, clothespin drop, hula-hooping, jump rope and juggling.
