Kids are invited to join in the 2nd Annual Bloomin’ Bike Parade! Free decorations and bike bells (courtesy of Heim’s Downtown Toy Store) will be provided 9:00 am to 10:30 am at Library Park (6th Ave. & 59th Place). The Parade will commence promptly at 10:30 am, traveling down 6th Avenue to the Festival Site at 54th Street.

Free bicycle helmets will be given away to the first 300 children at Library Park on Saturday, June 7th beginning at 9:00 am. Helmets are courtesy of Habush, Habush & Rottier, S.C. and will be fitted and supplied while supplies last.

The Kenosha Police Department will be on hand to provide free bicycle registration for bike owners. The service assigns a specific number to an owner’s bike, which is then entered into the KPD database with the owner’s contact information. The database can help in the recovery efforts if your bicycle is ever lost or stolen. Bike Registration will move to the main festival site 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.

LemonAID
lemon-street.jpgJust across the street from the Bloomin’ Days main festival site, you’ll find the most unique live art event around! LemonAID brings up to 40 talented artists from around the Midwest to an outdoor “studio” where you can watch them create original works of art right before your very eyes! Artists will set up beginning at 9:00 am Saturday and work throughout the day on their art pieces. At 5:00 pm, a live auction of the completed pieces will be held with proceeds benefiting Lemon Street Gallery & Art Space. Lemon Street is a non-profit organization dedicated to community arts education, and instituting arts initiatives that compliment the vital work of social service agencies.

The Third Man
TheThirdMan

RG Productions brings the powerful film noir, “THE THIRD MAN” to life as a radio play, complete with live sound effects and zither music. The play, produced in association with the Lakeside Players, will be performed free for festival goers attending Kenosha’s Bloomin’ Days on Saturday, June 7 in downtown Kenosha at 3 p.m. at the Rhode Center for the Arts. An evening performance will also be held at 7 p.m., admission $5.
