The students are grouped together according to age and skill level. Each student gets to pick a song that he or she wants to play and all students are required to play songs from different styles such as: Rock, Jazz, Blues etc.
Each Rock Band Class is required to perform at seasonal recitals and also have opportunities to perform at local events such as the 2009 Bloomin’ Days. For more info about the Kenosha Conservatory of Music please visit our web page at: www.kenoshaconservatory.com

12:30pm: Kenosha’s own 9 piece teen ska band, Our Own Syndrome will perform on the main stage.
Our Own Syndrome began back in 2003 as a group of friends getitng together to jam in one another’s garages. As we got older, the music came together, and the band you know today was formed. A few line-up changes have occurred over the years, but Our Own Syndrome has been operating with it’s current nine-member ensemble for about a year now. We’ve played nearly a hundred shows to date, and are always looking to play a few more when asked or prompted, or even bribed (wink, wink).

4:00pm: Stockwood, the “world’s youngest Beatles’ tribute band”, will perform tons of great songs made famous by Britain’s greatest rock n’ roll band.
Formed in April of 2004, Stockwood started as an acts for an elementary school talent show. At that time, much like the real Beatles, there were five musicians. Shortly thereafter the firft member left the group and the other four original members remain to this day.
The recipients of the 2006 and 2007 “Battle of the Beatle Bands” at Chicago Fest, Stockwood is the “world’s youngest Beatles tribute band”. At an amazingly young age, these lads bring together their musical proficiency to entertain audiences of varying ages with music that transcends time. People often ask, “Do the boys lip sync?” or “Do they play a CD in the background to help them out?” The answer to both is a resounding NO! All four boys sing and play their musical instruments without accompaniment from anyone or anything. They are friends offstage and have a musical connection in their admiration of The Beatles.
